Feed-Through Terminal Block
Terminal block intended to electrically connect conductors of the same potential through an internal current-carrying element.
A feed-through terminal block is intended to provide a reliable electrical connection between conductors of the same potential, with current flowing through the terminal block's internal current-carrying part.
These terminal blocks are widely used in distribution boards, control cabinets, automation systems, and industrial equipment. They are typically mounted side by side on a mounting rail to form an organized terminal row.
Principal electrical characteristics include rated and maximum load current, rated voltage, permitted conductor sizes and forms, connection technology, and contact characteristics.
For different conductor terminations, separate conductor-size ranges may be specified for rigid and flexible conductors, ferruled conductors, TWIN ferrules, ultrasonically compacted conductors, and conductors suitable for direct insertion.
The terminal block may support cross-connections for electrically linking adjacent terminal blocks. Relevant parameters include the number of cross-connection channels, bridgeable levels, bridge current rating, and conductor-size limitations when an insertion bridge is installed.
Marking areas, individual markers, marker carriers, and continuous marking strips may be used for servicing and identification. Partition plates may be installed between adjacent terminal blocks where required.
Installation considerations include terminal-block width, number of positions, mounting-rail retention, the need for an end clamp, and accessibility of conductors and markings.
Selection criteria include circuit current and voltage, conductor type and cross-section, clamping technology, bridging and marking requirements, mounting method, and declared compliance with applicable standards.
This subcategory includes feed-through terminal blocks of different conductor sizes, connection technologies, and level arrangements for connecting conductors of one electrical potential.
