KNX Power Supply
Specialized KNX bus power supply providing the voltage and current required by devices on a KNX line.
A KNX power supply energizes a KNX TP line and normally includes a choke that separates the power component from bus telegrams. Depending on the design, it may supply one or more lines.
Principal characteristics include rated bus current, output voltage, maximum current, short-circuit and overload behaviour, and restart characteristics. Some models provide an additional unchoked output or auxiliary power output.
Local indication of bus status, overload, short circuit, and bus voltage may be available. Selection criteria include KNX device count, line current consumption, required reserve, and compliance with applicable KNX requirements.
This subcategory includes KNX power supplies with integrated choke, auxiliary outputs, and bus-status monitoring functions.
