KNX Actuator
KNX device for controlling electrical loads, actuators, and functional channels in building automation.
A KNX actuator receives bus telegrams and executes control commands through its output channels. Depending on type, it may switch loads, dim lighting, control blinds, valves, heating, or other building functions.
Important characteristics include channel count and types, contact or semiconductor output load capability, supported load types, and channel functions. The KNX application may provide scenes, logic, threshold functions, timers, forced operation, feedback, and diagnostics.
Selection criteria include load type, inrush current, voltage, channel count, ETS application parameters, supported DPTs, security, and behaviour following loss of supply or bus communication.
This subcategory includes switching, dimming, blind, and other KNX actuator modules for building automation.
