Matter Controller
Matter ecosystem controller for device commissioning, Fabric management, secure sessions, and the Matter Interaction Model.
A Matter controller performs Commissioner and Controller functions when adding devices to a Fabric and during subsequent operation. Commissioning includes discovery, PASE, network provisioning, device attestation, and establishment of secure operational relationships.
The controller verifies the Device Attestation Certificate, Product Attestation Intermediate, and Certification Declaration against trusted PAAs. After commissioning, operational communication normally uses CASE and Fabric-specific NOC certificates.
Important characteristics include Fabric capacity, device count, supported clusters and device types, multi-admin, commissioning over BLE/IP, OTA Provider/Requestor, ACL, and key-management functions. Thread/Wi-Fi integration and bridge/controller functions are also relevant.
This subcategory includes Matter Controllers, Commissioners, and management platforms for Matter over Wi-Fi, Thread, and other supported IP transports.
