Drive Line Module
Input power module of a modular drive system converting mains power into common DC-bus voltage.
A drive line module supplies the DC link for one or more power modules in a modular drive system.
Depending on topology it may be a passive rectifier or an active front end with mains-current control and regenerative capability. Regenerative versions can return braking energy from the DC link to the supply.
Key parameters include input voltage, rated and peak power, topology, maximum regenerative power, and common DC-bus characteristics.
Selection considers the supply system, total drive power, regeneration requirements, harmonics, EMC, and compatibility with the other modules.
