Manual Motor Starter
Motor starter with manual operation combining motor switching with protection and disconnecting functions.
A manual motor starter is intended for local manual switching of a motor load.
Depending on design, it may combine a manually operated switching device with overload protection, short-circuit protection, and disconnecting functions. Some products are standalone manual motor starters while others form part of a combination assembly with a contactor or accessories.
Key parameters include motor-current range, overload setting, instantaneous protection characteristic, trip class, phase-loss sensitivity, and permitted starting methods.
Selection also considers factory configuration, enclosure, local indication, and the applicable combination motor-controller type.
