Battery DC Contactor
Electromagnetic DC power contactor intended for remote connection and disconnection of a battery or DC bus.
A battery DC contactor remotely switches a high-current battery circuit under control of a BMS, EMS, or power converter. It may serve as the main positive, negative, auxiliary, or precharge contactor.
Key parameters include operating DC voltage, continuous current, permitted making and breaking currents, electrical endurance, and coil characteristics.
For battery systems, safe interruption of direct current, auxiliary contact feedback, and compatibility with welded-contact diagnostics are important. Selection considers maximum battery voltage, operating and fault current, bidirectional operation, coil parameters, and BMS requirements.
This subcategory includes high-voltage and low-voltage DC contactors for batteries, ESS, EV applications, and DC buses.
