Device description

Battery Inverter

Bidirectional power converter intended to exchange energy between a battery and an AC grid or AC loads.

A battery inverter converts energy between the battery DC bus and an AC system. During charging it may operate as a controlled AC/DC converter and during discharge as a DC/AC inverter.

In energy-storage systems it cooperates with BMS and EMS functions, applies power and current limits, and may participate in grid-connected or stand-alone operation.

Key parameters include battery voltage range, AC voltage and frequency, rated and peak power, maximum DC-bus current and power, and efficiency. DC-bus precharge limits inrush current when connecting power-stage capacitance.

Selection considers the battery system, required power, grid and backup functions, BMS interface, and EMS integration.
