PV DC Distribution Board
DC distribution board intended to distribute, switch, and protect direct-current circuits of a photovoltaic installation.
A PV DC distribution board combines and distributes direct-current circuits between the PV array, inverters, and other DC components of the installation. It may contain DC isolators, circuit breakers, SPDs, busbars, terminals, and other protection and distribution equipment.
Principal parameters include number of DC outgoing circuits, maximum current, permitted conductor sizes, connector types, and installed protection functions.
Unlike a dedicated string combiner, a distribution board may be used more broadly for distribution of already combined DC circuits. Selection considers DC operating voltage, total current, number of outgoing circuits, protective equipment, dimensions, IP rating, and installation conditions.
This subcategory includes DC distribution boards and panels for photovoltaic installations with protection, switching, and DC busbar equipment.
