Device description

EV Wallbox

Compact wall-mounted EVSE for residential, commercial, and parking-area AC charging of electric vehicles.

A wallbox is a compact stationary charging point normally intended for AC Mode 3 charging.

It may provide a Type 2 socket or integrated charging cable and support single-phase or three-phase connection.

Modern wallboxes provide adjustable current, local and dynamic load management, energy metering, RFID, mobile-app access, OCPP, and PV/EMS integration.

Protection may include residual DC-current detection, PEN monitoring, temperature monitoring, and external or integrated RCD functions.

Selection criteria include maximum power, phase configuration, vehicle connection type, cable length, IP/IK rating, authorization method, communications, and energy-management compatibility.
