Device description

Illuminated Push Button

Panel-mounted push button combining a control function with local visual indication.

Illuminated Push Button is a manually operated control element intended to generate an electrical command by mechanically actuating one or more contact blocks.

Selection considers operator type and action, color, shape, diameter, height, operating force and travel, bezel material, and anti-rotation features. The number and configuration of contact blocks, AC-15 and DC-13 contact ratings, minimum switching characteristics, and electrical endurance are also relevant.

Illumination may cover the button face, ring, or another area. Illumination-circuit configuration, electrical separation from control contacts, replaceable illumination modules, and operator legends should be considered.

For panel mounting, panel thickness, front projection, rear mounting depth, fixing method, gasket, and anti-rotation opening requirements are considered.
