Device description

Phase Sequence Indicator

Device for visual determination of phase sequence or phase-rotation direction in a three-phase system.

A phase-sequence indicator evaluates the relative sequence of phase voltages and presents information about correct or incorrect sequence or phase-rotation direction.

Depending on the design, the device may indicate only sequence correctness or explicitly display rotation direction. Presentation may use lamps, symbols, or other visual fields.

Selection criteria include monitored network voltage, phase count, indication method, and mounting requirements.
