Device description

Insulated Wire Ferrule

Insulated wire ferrule with a plastic collar that guides a flexible conductor and supports clean conductor termination.

An insulated ferrule combines a metallic tube crimped around the conductor strands with a plastic collar that guides the conductor and helps prevent strand splaying during assembly.

The metallic sleeve forms the electrical termination, while the plastic collar does not replace circuit insulation; its primary functions are installation guidance and identification.

Important parameters include the metallic sleeve inner and outer diameters and length, collar diameter and length, material, colour and required crimp profile.

Selection should consider conductor cross-section and class, receiving-terminal dimensions, compatible tooling and compliance with DIN 46228-4, UL 486F, CSA C22.2 No. 291 or other declared requirements.
