Twin Wire Ferrule
Twin insulated ferrule for terminating two flexible conductors together in one common metallic crimp sleeve.
A twin ferrule is used to prepare two flexible conductors for termination in one clamp point when that arrangement is permitted by the terminal or device manufacturer.
The widened insulating collar guides two conductors into a common metallic sleeve in which both conductors are crimped using the specified profile.
Important considerations include not only each conductor size but also the combined cross-section, collar geometry, ferrule diameter and length, and whether the completed termination fits the receiving terminal.
Selection should verify number of entries, conductor range, crimp profile, compatible tooling, receiving-terminal dimensions and declared compliance with DIN 46228-4 or other applicable standards.
