Pin Terminal
Crimp terminal with a rigid pin contact for inserting a flexible conductor into terminals designed for pin geometry.
A pin terminal converts the end of a stranded or flexible conductor into a compact, mechanically ordered pin contact.
It is used where the receiving terminal or connector is better suited to a cylindrical pin than to an unterminated bundle of strands. The conductor is secured in the barrel by crimping.
Key dimensions include pin diameter and length, barrel diameter and length, and the orientation of the pin relative to the conductor axis.
Selection should verify conductor cross-section, terminal material and plating, crimp profile, compatible tooling and the geometry of the receiving terminal.
Pin terminals for termination of flexible conductors in clamps and connectors.
