Device description

Blade Terminal

Crimp terminal with a flat blade contact for connecting a conductor to a compatible clamp or flat interface.

A blade terminal forms a rigid flat contact of controlled width and thickness at the end of a flexible or stranded conductor.

It is used in terminals and connectors designed to receive flat contact geometry. The conductor is mechanically secured in the barrel by crimping, while current is transferred through the flat contact portion.

The mating dimensions directly determine compatibility with the receiving terminal, together with contact material and plating.

Selection should consider conductor cross-section, blade width, thickness and length, material, plating, orientation and required crimp profile.
