Quick Disconnect Terminal
Crimp quick-disconnect terminal intended to mate with a flat tab of specified width and thickness.
A quick-disconnect terminal provides a detachable conductor connection to a flat tab without a screw fastener.
The interface may be male or female and insulated or uninsulated. Compatibility is primarily determined by the nominal width and thickness of the mating tab together with appropriate insertion and retention force.
The conductor is crimped in the barrel, and some designs include a separate insulation-support crimp. Contact material and plating influence electrical resistance, service life and corrosion resistance.
Selection should consider mating-tab dimensions, conductor size, male/female configuration, insulation, contact material and plating, crimp profile and declared compliance with UL 310 or CSA C22.2 No. 153.
Quick-disconnect flat terminals and tab connectors for conductors.
