Solder Seal Heat Shrink Connector
Sealed conductor splice combining a heat-shrink sleeve, integrated solder preform and sealing elements.
A solder-seal heat-shrink connector combines electrical contact formation, mechanical support and environmental sealing in one component.
During uniform heating, the outer polymer sleeve shrinks around the conductors, the solder ring melts and wets the conductor strands, and thermoplastic sealant rings close the ends of the sleeve.
Key parameters include solder alloy and melting temperature, minimum and maximum recovery temperature, inner diameter before and after recovery, shrink ratio and the number of sealing rings.
Selection should consider conductor diameter and cross-section range, conductor material, permissible installation temperature, required sealing performance and operating environment. Installation requires controlled heating of the complete splice.
