Sensor / Actuator Connector
Industrial field connector for rapid connection of sensors, actuators, IO-Link and analogue/digital signals.
A sensor/actuator connector is a typical field-level interface between a device and an I/O module, valve island, signal distribution unit or controller.
Common families include M8, M12 and other compact circular connectors. Mechanical compatibility is defined by size, thread, coupling method and coding that prevents mismating of different functions.
Depending on the interface, the connector may carry power, discrete I/O, analogue signals, IO-Link or industrial communication. IP rating, mechanical resistance and shielding are important in machine environments.
Selection should consider pin count, coding, voltage, current, shielding, cable termination method, M8/M12 size and the requirements of the specific protocol or sensor interface.
M8/M12 and similar connectors for sensors, actuators and IO-Link devices.
