Motor Power Connector
Power connector for detachable connection of a motor, servomotor or spindle to the power cable or drive system.
A motor power connector must carry the motor phase current and normally also provide a protective-earth contact. Some systems integrate additional contacts for a brake, thermistor or auxiliary circuits.
In inverter-fed motors and servo systems, continuous low-impedance cable-shield bonding and resistance to switching transients or interference may also be important.
Shell size, coupling method and thread determine mechanical compatibility with the motor and cable assembly. Number and size of contacts must match the electrical load.
Selection should consider rated current and voltage, pin count, PE, auxiliary contacts, connector size, coupling, shielding, IP rating and compatibility with the specific motor/drive family.
