Inline Connector
Connector for straight-line continuation of two conductors or cable ends in an in-line input-to-output arrangement.
An inline connector joins two conductors or cable ends along one line without creating a separate branch. It is used for repair, extension and intermediate joining of wiring.
The contact may be spring-operated, screw-operated, mechanically clamped or based on another product-specific technology. Some versions contain a sealing compound that limits moisture and contaminant ingress into the electrical joint.
Reusability depends on the clamping mechanism and sealing design. For outdoor or exposed applications, IP rating, temperature range and material resistance are also important.
Selection should verify conductor cross-section and diameter ranges, conductor material, rated current and voltage, conductor preparation method, sealing technology and operating environment.
