Shunt Trip Release
Electromagnetic release for remotely tripping a compatible device when a control voltage is applied.
A shunt trip release provides remote mechanical tripping of a circuit breaker, switch or other compatible device.
When control voltage is applied, its coil operates the trip mechanism independently of the current flowing in the main power circuit.
It is used in emergency shutdown, fire-control systems, E-Stop circuits and remote-control applications.
Selection criteria include rated control voltage, operating range, power consumption, permissible coil energization time and mounting position on the host device.
Shunt trip releases for remote tripping of protective and switching devices.
