Comb Busbar
Busbar with repeating contacts intended to distribute a common electrical potential across a row of compatible devices.
A comb busbar is used to electrically connect several adjacent devices at the same time within a distribution assembly.
Its construction contains repeating contact elements at a defined pitch. The busbar may be single-pole or multipole and may be used for phase, neutral, or other specified electrical connections.
Important design parameters include the number of modular-device positions, contact pitch, contact form, rated current, conductor cross-section, and compatibility with the terminals of the connected devices.
For insulated versions, the insulation type, requirement for end caps after cutting, and permissible operating conditions are also relevant.
Mechanical and electrical compatibility with the specific connected devices must be verified because identical modular pitch does not by itself guarantee compatibility of the contact system.
This subcategory includes comb busbars with repeating contacts for group connection of modular and other compatible devices.
