The tool determines country, region and basic location data based on the IP address or hostname. It uses the local geolocation database available directly in the TRASA3 project.

What is IP Location used for?
The tool allows you to quickly check what country and region a given IP address comes from according to the local geolocation database.
You can verify the country of origin of your traffic, compare the location of hosts, check the approximate region of a server, or confirm whether a given IP address belongs to the expected location.
IP geolocation is approximate. Country tends to be accurate more often than region or city, and some addresses may point to the location of an operator, data center, or routing point instead of the actual user.
